Privacy
Short version: MailCraft doesn't collect anything about you.
This website
- No analytics, no cookies, no tracking scripts, no ads.
- The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles your request (including your IP address) to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- To show the newest download links, your browser asks GitHub's public API for MailCraft's releases, and downloads come from GitHub. See GitHub's privacy statement.
The MailCraft app
- No telemetry, analytics or crash reports are sent anywhere.
- MailCraft connects only to the mail, calendar and contacts servers you set up, directly and encrypted.
- Your mail is kept on your computer (or, with Online only, in memory only) and on your provider's servers.
- Passwords and sign-ins are kept in your system's keychain, never in MailCraft's files or logs.
- Test builds check GitHub for a newer build now and then, to update themselves; that request carries nothing about you or your mail. Setting
MAILCRAFT_NO_AUTO_UPDATE=1turns it off. - If you turn on certificate revocation checks (File › Options › Safety), MailCraft asks the authority that issued a signer's certificate whether it is still valid.
- Pictures from the web in a message load only when you ask.
